Understanding dynamic ads with Facebook

Showcase Your Products with Facebook Dynamic Ads 🚀

Social networking is life, isn't it? With almost 2.7 billion users worldwide, Facebook is like an all-you-can-eat buffet for running your ads! 🌍 And that's not all, Facebook has rolled out an awesome feature: Dynamic Facebook Advertising (or Facebook Dynamic Ads). Sounds cool, doesn't it? So, what exactly is it, and how do you create a campaign that's a hit? Our Experts are here to explain it all to you 😉

Dynamic Facebook Ads: Putting your products in the spotlight

Dynamic Facebook Ads** can be displayed on many different devices and in all possible formats. Facebook takes your ad template and turns it into an ultra-optimized ad campaign! 🌟

Thanks to artificial intelligence, these dynamic ads present users with ultra-relevant offers based on their interests, actions, intentions, or even geographical location. No need to manually create a ton of different ads for each product you sell! You can simply have a catalog of all your products and personalize it a little. When a prospect shows interest in one of your products, Facebook takes care of sending them a dynamic ad, at the right time and in the right place (on mobile, tablet or computer). Practical, isn't it? So you can present your products to a qualified audience, at the perfect time! 🎯

Note that dynamic ads are identical to classic ads with a single image, carousel, catalog, or even stories on Instagram, Facebook, and the Audience Network.

The advantages of dynamic advertising

Dynamic ads are the icing on the cake, with a host of advantages:

Continuity throughout your campaigns: your ads are continuously visible and automatically optimized.
Personalized, relevant content: the algorithm automatically delivers the most appropriate content to prospects, based on their profile.
Cross-device between platforms: you can set up ads on Facebook and Instagram to reach as many prospects as possible.
Simplified targeting and retargeting: you can automatically retarget prospects who have viewed your articles without buying. You can even reach new users who have shown interest in your products, or similar products, without even visiting your site or app.

What's more, using dynamic advertising on Facebook is like having a time-saving magic wand! All you have to do is set up a single ad content instead of doing this for each ad independently. Easy, isn't it? ⏳

Steps to create a Dynamic Ad on Facebook

Creating a dynamic ad involves setting up an ad template that can automatically use images and info from your Facebook catalog. Here's how to launch your dynamic ad on Facebook. 😎

Step 1: Create a Product Catalog

Before creating a dynamic ad, you need to create a great product catalog. In it, you'll put all the essential info on your products: name, ID, description, price, etc. The more complete and top-quality this information is, the more successful your ads will be with your audience. So, let's take our time and fill everything in properly, eh? 📦

Step 2: Install the Facebook Pixel or Facebook SDK

The Facebook Pixel is like a super detective for your website! 🕵️‍♂️ It tracks visits, products viewed, while keeping in touch with Facebook audiences. It brings back a wealth of information on these audiences, helping you to distribute your ads to super-qualified prospects. For apps, there's the Facebook SDK that does the same job. 📱

Step 3: Import your catalog into Facebook

Now you import your catalog into your website's admin area, usually from a CSV file. Once this is done, you can configure your dynamic ad. You can also use Feedcast to retrieve the URL of your product feed, which the algo will optimize, or create your Facebook catalog directly from the user interface. All that's left to do is link your pixel or SDK to your catalog. To do this, go to the Sales Manager, then the Catalog tab. Then go to Events, choose Tracking Connection, and you can select your pixel or SDK and register it. The Pixel or SDK takes a maximum of 24 hours to be ready for action. If you've created the Pixel from Feedcast, it will be directly associated with your catalog. 🤖

Step 4: Create a Dynamic Ad

In the Ad Manager on Facebook Business Manager, click + Create.
