Google introduces shopping experience dashboard program
Google has introduced a new dashboard in the Merchant Center: The Shopping Experience Scorecard. It helps to provide a better shopping experience for customers.
A badge is visible on your cards, inspiring more confidence in users.
Your offers are highlighted in the "Shopping" tab.
Google evaluates the experience offered to customers according to several criteria such as delivery times, shipping costs and product returns. For each criterion, Google assigns a score of "Excellent", "Comparable" or "Opportunity".
Google can improve the visibility of your offers in the Shopping tab or in the promotional modules if you provide information on certain aspects of the customer experience (see below). If you do not provide this information, Google will not penalise you. However, you will not be able to benefit from the advantages mentioned above.
In order for a badge to be visible on your listings, however, you must provide details of all the criteria requested. The analysis of the information you provide is evaluated every day but the analysis period is fixed. If you have been scoring "Opportunity" or "Comparable" for a while, it may take several weeks for your improvements to be taken into account by Google in its evaluation.
The Shopping Experience Scorecard program is available to all merchants and can be viewed directly in the Merchant Center account. Performance is compared to all other merchants.
If you still do not have a score, it means that you are missing some criteria or that your offers did not register enough impressions during the analysis period.
To view your performance for each metric and your overall score:
Log into your Google Merchant Center account.
In the left-hand menu, click on Growth.
Then go to Shopping Experience Scorecard.
