Tips to ensure proper product approval

To ensure that the information displayed to visitors is always accurate (free listings and Shopping ads), it's important to check that the product data sent matches the information displayed on your landing page. To do this, it's important to regularly check the information uploaded to your product catalog to ensure that the data displayed to visitors is consistent. In this way, you can be sure that the information displayed is always up-to-date and of the highest quality.

Make sure your landing page is available

If your landing page is not available at the time of verification, the product will automatically be rejected. So be sure to check that all product pages are available when Google crawls them.

Allow Google robots to crawl your pages

Google's crawlers (user-agents) will access all your product pages to check that the information provided is up to date and relevant to the data in your product catalog. You need to make sure that they have access to your pages, so that your products are not rejected when your pages are analyzed.

Don't limit crawl speed

In Google Search Console, you can choose to limit the speed at which Google crawls your site. If you do, we may have trouble crawling your landing page and images. To enable us to crawl your site without problems, activate the "Let Google optimize crawl speed for my site" setting for Googlebot's crawl speed.

Check that prices match

When crawling your pages, the Googlebot will check that the prices displayed to users are up to date. Make sure that the prices shown in the product feed reflect those displayed on your site. Otherwise, products may be rejected.
You can use structured data or valid HTML code.

Check the accuracy of your product codes

Unique product codes, especially GTIN (or EAN) codes, allow you to enrich your ads and listings, making them easier for customers to find. If you use incorrect codes, your ads and listings may be rejected, or they may not be displayed for relevant searches. We therefore recommend adding them whenever possible. You can add them directly when you retrieve your product feed, or from your Feedcast account when you edit your products.

Avoid modifying the ID (identifying attribute) of your products

Each product (including variants) has a unique identifier.
Please note that if you modify a product's ID, it will be treated as a new product. The product will have to be re-approved before it can be published in ads or listings, which can take up to three working days. Previously registered product performance information will not be associated with this new product.

Think ahead when redesigning or restructuring a site

In the event of a site change or redesign, the data sent may be different. It is therefore important to ensure that any changes made do not impact the eligibility of your products.
