Install Google Analytics 4 for Shopify

Integrating Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with your Shopify store can provide valuable insights into traffic and user behavior. The "Google & Youtube" app for Shopify simplifies this integration. Here's how to proceed step by step.

Step 1: Create a GA4 account

If you don't already have a GA4 account:

Log in to your Google Analytics account.
Click on Admin (the gear icon) at the bottom left.
In the right column, click on Create Property.
Select Google Analytics 4 and follow the on-screen instructions.
After creating your GA4 property, you will receive a measurement ID that looks like: G-XXXXXXX.

Step 2: Installing the "Google & Youtube" app on Shopify

Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
Navigate to the Shopify App Store.
Search for "Google & Youtube" and install the app.
Once the installation is complete, open the app from your Shopify dashboard.

Step 3: Integrate GA4 with Shopify via the app

In the "Google & Youtube" app, select the Google Analytics option.
Select your corresponding Google Analytics 4 account.
Validate and save the changes.

Step 4: Validate the installation

In Google Analytics, go to your GA4 property.
In the left pane, select the Reports menu.
Visit your Shopify site. If everything is installed correctly, you should see real-time traffic data.

Sales and associated revenue should automatically be reported (event "Purchase").

With these steps, your Shopify store will be equipped with GA4 through the "Google & Youtube" app, offering advanced analytics and insights into your customers and their purchasing behavior.
