Setting up Google Analytics 4 from Universal Analytics (UA)
Are you still using the old version of Google Analytics (Universal Analytics - UA) and want to migrate to Google Analytics 4 (GA4)?
We will guide you to easily migrate to this new version. As a reminder, the old Universal Analytics will stop sending data from July 1st 2023. So remember to make the transition.
Be careful! To report E-Commerce data, you will have to report events. Be careful if you use the Universal Analytics event migration tool to Google Analytics 4.

Log into your Google Analytics account
Select the Universal Analytics (UA) account property
Go to the Admin screen (cog icon) and then to property
Choose GA4 Setup Wizard
Click on First steps
Finally, create a new Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property if you have not already done so.
Your Google Analytics 4 property is created, you can now select it. You will find the Account and Property column
Click on Data feed then Create a web feed to collect data from your website
Copy your GA4 metric ID to add it via Google Tag Manager or put it directly on all the pages of your site
Go to Google Tag Manager or create an account if necessary
Create a new tag
Paste in the measurement ID of your GA4 account AND choose the all pages trigger
Finally save and click on submit to send the changes
Attention, if you have created a new account Google Tag Manager, it will be necessary to think of adding the tag on all the pages of your site (provided during the creation of an account.
