Connect your Shopify Store to Feedcast
Our solution offers several connectors to easily retrieve and optimize your product catalog.
Integrating your Shopify product catalog with Feedcast.io improves the visibility of your products and streamlines your digital marketing efforts.
Our easy-to-use Shopify app, Feedimport, makes this process straightforward. This article will guide you through the steps to successfully connect your Shopify catalog to Feedcast.io.
Start by navigating to feedimport.io or search directly for the Feedimport App in the Shopify marketplace.
Click the "Install" button and authorize the installation on your Shopify account.
After installation, it's time to configure the app to meet your specific needs. Here's what you need to specify:
Product Catalog Name: Give your catalog a unique name for easy identification.
Language: Select the main language of your product catalog.
Target Country: Choose the country where your target market is located.
Product Category: Select the product category that matches the products sold by your store.
Additional configurations include the option to display only in-stock products and the addition of GTINs (Global Trade Item Numbers). If your products do not have GTINs, simply select the "no GTIN" option.
GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) is an international standard identifier for commercial products. It encompasses several number formats, the most well-known of which is EAN (European Article Number), now called International Article Number, although the abbreviation EAN is still widely used. These identifiers are designed to be unique and universal, enabling products to be distinguished worldwide in the supply chain, from manufacturer to consumer.
GTIN: Can be of different lengths (GTIN-8, GTIN-12, GTIN-13, GTIN-14) depending on the type of product and the country of origin. The GTIN is used to identify items (products and services) that can be priced, ordered, or invoiced at any point in the supply chain.
EAN: A specific form of GTIN. It is most often composed of 13 digits (GTIN-13). This system was originally developed for use across Europe, but its use has expanded globally in retail.
Products with valid GTINs (or EAN) are likely to benefit from better performance in advertising campaigns such as Google Shopping. It allows using these details to place the product in more relevant searches, which can increase click-through rates (CTR) and conversion.
Once you have configured the settings to your liking, proceed to validate and subscribe to the app.
After subscribing, the app will generate a URL for your product feed in XML format.
Copy this URL as you will need it to add your catalog to Feedcast.io.
This step is crucial to allow for the automatic generation and updating of your product feed.
Now, you can connect your product catalog to your Feedcast account:
Log in to your Feedcast account
Select the project where you want to add your Shopify catalog.
In the "Configuration" menu (or during the initial setup step), choose the Shopify connector
Paste the product feed URL previously copied from the Shopify Feedimport app. This action will allow Feedcast to detect the number of products in your catalog and identify potential issues through alerts.
Next, add the URL of your e-commerce store and save your changes.
And that's it, your product catalog will be visible shortly on your Feedcast account under the "Product List" menu.
Once the catalog is now added to Feedcast, the final step is to connect it to your chosen channels.
Good to know: for subscribers to Feedcast (excluding the Free plan), the cost of the Feedimport app can be deducted from your subscription. To do this, we invite you to only leave a note to the Feedimport app and send us a screenshot of your review via chat or email at support@feedcast.io.
If you encounter any problems or have questions, our support team is ready to assist you via live chat directly on your account or by email at support@feedcast.io.
