How to connect a product feed to Feedcast

What is a product catalog? 📦

A product catalog, also known as a product feed, compiles all the essential information about the products you sell! 🌟

It includes mandatory attributes (such as name, price, stock...) and optional attributes (such as description, category, size...) - everything that will be closely scrutinized by advertising channels to make your products shine.

Think of it like a TV show. The product feed needs to be online so that Feedcast can follow it every day and broadcast it to all advertising channels. 📺

To create your own product catalog and plug it into Feedcast, you have several options at your disposal.

Connect my product catalog to Feedcast 🔄

We have set up custom services for the most popular e-commerce platforms: Shopify, Woocommerce, Prestashop, Wizishop, and Webflow.
If you're using one of these platforms, it's a piece of cake! Just follow the step-by-step guide to connect your store to Feedcast.

Méthode d'import

We've even whipped up a custom module for Shopify:
Install the FeedImport app on your Shopify store and get a feed URL directly from the interface. Copy-paste this address into the designated field, and you're all set! 💼

If you're a fan of tools, you can even combine FeedImport with other popular modules, like Google Channel, to further customize your experience.

Import Shopify

For Woocommerce, you'll need an API key and an access token in addition to your store's address. It sounds technical, but don't worry, it's super simple.

This method offers you a native integration of your store into Feedcast, the safest and most solid! 🏰

But if you ever run into a problem along the way, don't panic, you have two backup solutions:

CTX Feed Extension (Free)
Product Feed Pro Extension (Free)
Once the extension is in place, retrieve your feed URL and opt for the so-called manual source (CSV, XLS, TXT)

For Prestashop, we are in the process of developing our module.

However, Feedcast subscribers have a configuration call in which we offer to install a third-party module (normally paid) for you to retrieve your product catalog:

Google Merchant Center Extension (Paid)
As with Woocommerce, install the extension, take your feed URL, and select the CSV/XLS/TXT source.

Wizishop, Webflow

Wizishop and Webflow provide you with a turnkey service to obtain a feed URL. Copy-paste this address into the appropriate field, and you're done!

Google Sheets

Google Sheets import is the simplest way, ideal for beginners. Just take this template and fill it with your product details.

But be aware, this simplicity has its downside. If you change a product in your store (like its price), you will also need to update the Google Sheets file connected to Feedcast.

Once filled, simply retrieve your file's address with the Share button in Google Sheets!

This import method, named manual, allows you to enter the URL of your choice. Maybe you already have a product feed online that you want to use with Feedcast.
The only criterion is that your feed be in one of these three formats:

CSV (spreadsheet, commas) - template
XLS (spreadsheet, Excel version) - template
TXT (text) - template

Last Step - The Big Reveal! 🔮

That's it - your product catalog is ready to be connected to Feedcast! But beware, there's one last step, mandatory to finalize the configuration.

When you reach this final step, Feedcast directly retrieves the info on your products, depending on the source you previously set up.
After a short delay, you will get a preview of what Feedcast spotted in your catalog:

Feed Preview

All that's left is to enter your store's name, choose the language/country of broadcast, and there you go, it's in the bag! 🎉

Astuce :
Once your product feed is connected to your Feedcast account, it automatically goes on a journey to be validated by Google. It is updated every day.
Make sure step 3 is checked off. Google generally takes 2 to 5 working days to validate your catalog.
You can follow the validation status of your catalog for Google (Merchant Center) directly in the Feedcast interface, under the Product > Overview menu.
